for the past few days iv been helping my friend build his sr20 for his nissan 240sx. hes finally had enough money to get all the parts for the engine and what not. he just picked up a spare parts car for a grand and used some parts off of that to finish up the built engine.i thought id take some pics of the process as it started. more pics will come as we should be finishing up by next week.

Cant get the correct size vband clamps anywhere local, apparently tial makes it a wierd size so you have to buy thier vband made for the exhaust housing. I will order asap so i can get the turbo on and hopefully get this car on the road.

Motor should be in tuesday and ready for a first start ill try and get a video if everything goes alright.
Also today we repaired the rust were the battery tray used to be and also put a patch over the a/c holes in the firewall since i wont be using them. A little more grinding and some paint and i should be good to put the motor in.

Painted tonight and the primer went on perfect but the base coat is another story, idk what happened but it got all fisheyes and it didnt help that we ran out of paint about half way through the second coat. It will have to do for now since i have a deadline to meet and no money left for paint lol. heres some pics, i almost wish i would have just went with a flat black primer

Thanks to hondo for helping me put it in....
NOT!! Ten minutes before i was ready to put the motor in everyone decided it was time to go home. Putting a motor in by yourself trying to align mounts while moving the engine hoist is a bitch and it cost me a few small scratches to my paint but this isnt supposed to be a show car anyways so idc lol.
