Just curious what everyone else uses. What brand? Steel or Aluminum? What kind of cam, Roller or flat tappet?

I use Comp pro-magnums, stainless steel, 1.52 ratio for 7/16" studs.

why such a small ratio??

I didnt want to have to elongate the pushrod holes plus I'm already at .586/.562 and my heads dont flow much better past .600 so there was no need. 1.52 is factory for a SBC. Ohh yeah I'm also using a custom Hyd. roller cam.

How are they noisy P2? Arent they supposed to be soundless?
LS6rally
aaahh i see. i didnt know you had that big of a cam

Roller rockers are noisy as hell. Especially under cast aluminum valve covers. It might as well be an echo chamber labeled "Powered by Singer".

LSRengineering
Yeah if anything I was thinking of using 1.6's on the exhaust side so it'll be .586/.599 but decided against it since my heads flow very well on the exhaust side.

Mine dont make much noise at all..?
LSRengineering
I guess I just lucked out and got the quiet ones.. lol
LSRengineering
I wonder if the Aluminum rockers are louder than steel ones?
BoostedDakota
most rollers are loud as hell. i got a set of harland sharps 1.6's
LSRengineering
I guess I'm the only one using steel. Oh well..

Looks like 2 votes for comp, 1 for HS, and one for crane.
