PCW Computer = suicide.gif

Friends computer was missing screws, brackets, hardware pieces upon return after failing to fix a problem 3 times, and the hard drive was just hanging by the power wire. He now does all his PC repairs through me.

just sayin...i dont care if you want me to fix your computer or not, but save yourself the hassle and possible damages. This isn't the only bad thing i've heard about that place. I have gone in there myself and asked a few questions and im really not pleased with the techs in there lol.

There's enough PC gurus here we should never need PCW! smile.gif They do suck, I'll agree.
Metalfan1185
hahaha i was wondering why nobody responded to this...

well, whatever, just sayin about how crappy they are.

they also wanted to charge me $15 for a used non USB keyboard
garrett
i got my computer fixed there after it has gotten a ton of viruses and got a new hard drive for it, for less then 60 dollars so i was pretty happy too, they even hooked me up with free virus protection and a new keyboard for free
PSquare75
If you need a keyboard I can give you one, I have a stack here at my office.

Metalfan1185
That sounds good...

I hope they put all the screws back in the right places...lol

AVG? Sounds like you got a decent deal. Even if there's a few screws missing, you should be good. You should see some of my older PCs. lol.gif I was surprised they stayed together at times. That's back when just about everything in my computer was hacked software. I try to be a good boy these days. It's amazing how much good open source stuff is out there.

I miss the days of running my 386 with the turbo button (33 MHZ!) with no cover because I had it off so often... oops.
erty67
I once had a bad power supply and was too lazy to pull it out. I had the new one sitting on top of the tower wth the wires going into the open side. lol.gif

....an yes, I miss the ol' Turbo button. My 1st computer (that I personally owned) was a 33MHz 386 with a 7800 baud modem. nothing like a minute wait for each IM lol.gif
Metalfan1185
My first was a Pentium I sporting an incredible 133Mhz with 32MB of ram and 500MB of hard drive space. 4X CDROM, 3.5'' floppy, 5 1/4'' floppy,

and Windows 3.1 ha!
