So, I have had my 93 honda Civic since i was 15 years old. It was my first car and i loved every bit of it. Well one evening me and my friend Cory decided to go to the movies after work. When i was in the parking lot, I was waiting for a spot and a Jeep Grand Cherroke legit backed up ONTOP of my hood. WTF. I just watched my pride and joy get destroyed!!!
the next couple of months sucked as i was fighting with the insurance companies left and right. Well i won and got 3k for a settlement. Rather than pay the money to a body shop and get back a stock civic, I took it to my uncles house to get a nice custom car. My uncle has been doing body work since he was a kid and used to Build motorcycles from scraps for as long as i can remember. welp everything was going great. we got our ideas on the table and started going to town. the car got totally stripped of paint and not a single dent ding or speck of metal was left untouched. The car is in beautiful shape we even got rid of the honda rot by putting in new quater pannels instead of loading it up with plastic.
Unfortunatly a year or two before, my uncle was involved in a bike accident that sent him flying 100 feet in the woods into a bush breaking his leg, and screwing up some discs in his back. This being said, he could only work on the car when he was feeling up to it, hence the three+ year project. As it sits now, the car is totally strait, has a body kit (nothing crazy) on with the side skirts moulded into the body, and all the pannels back on. All it is missing is the paint. so awsome! I will have a kick ass looking car for the spring. My only issue with it now, is that I am alot older than 15. A stock 98hp lmao D15 non Vtec motor that barely pushes 100mph just doesnt cut it with me anymore. lmao i have had GM Cadillac, a Mustang, a Toyota, and an Accord. all with over 180 hp. So my question to everyone is if i can get a new motor and 5 speed tranny, is there anyone who can help me put it in? any help would me better than what i have now. I have 0 knowlage on how to do an engine swap outside of what i have read, so to do this alone would be treaturous.
Thank you.
