I dont know if they hurt more than they help performance. But they are badass looking.
The Rx-7 has trouble with the water pump belt slipping at high RPM. Its a solution, I guess. The pulleys are for crank, water pump, and alternator.

It should be ok, I don't see their would be a problem, but if it was a supercharger, then problems happen.

It just seems the extra weight and friction would cause unnecessary drag. But i like how they look.

I know in the domestic world, I've seen them used hundreds of times with no issues. I was thinking of a set for my own but couldnt swing the money.
