I'm a big fan of Mobile 1 products. I think 5w-30 should be fine thou I'm not too sure on the 2.5's.

well I can't really blame her, budget is tight. besides its hard to convince a non car person why they should spend more for Oil when its cheaper for such and such brand

5-30 should be fine. Could get away with 10-30 as well since the weather down there isnt as cold as up here where they recc. the 5w.
Also NEVER cheap out on a oil change. As for brand? I use whatever is cheap since I change mine like every 2 weeks lol

GTX isn't too bad. I wouldn't run it past 3k like most other syn's can. Idk I just don't trust it.

if anything you can cheap out on the oil, its the filter that i would be more concerned about.

I have 2 frams on right now, i know theyre not the best but I had issues with gas getting into my oil last year and when you hafta buy 2 filters and 8qts of oil for 1 oil change you wont want to buy the expensive ones since theyre only being used for 2 week.

I use Castrol GTX on applications where I dont use synthetics..
I would use either 5w30 or 10w30, both recommended by Nissan. 5w10 safe year-round. 10w30 is better in the Spring/Summer.
Use Nissan filter only..
