I was wondering if you can out JB Weld on a engine block and be ok. I have a friend with a dodge neon and he is a no money type of person, it leaks very little oil do to a crack in the block., any way around this?

Yes says it but it all comes down to how serious the crack is and location friend had a cracked cyl. head but it wasn't real big but enough to cause a small about the size of a soda can diameter of coolant to accum. on the ground over night.. He JB'ed it and it held until he got a replacement head 4 months later. It was a GM 2.2 4cyl not the Ecotech engine in a 1996 Cavalier. It wasn't big and you could very easily overlook it if you didn't know were to look.
