I was wondering if you can out JB Weld on a engine block and be ok. I have a friend with a dodge neon and he is a no money type of person, it leaks very little oil do to a crack in the block., any way around this?

Yes says it but it all comes down to how serious the crack is and location friend had a cracked cyl. head but it wasn't real big but enough to cause a small about the size of a soda can diameter of coolant to accum. on the ground over night.. He JB'ed it and it held until he got a replacement head 4 months later. It was a GM 2.2 4cyl not the Ecotech engine in a 1996 Cavalier. It wasn't big and you could very easily overlook it if you didn't know were to look.

He should be fine Jesse. Caesar and all the stunt guy's used to use it on the stator and clutch cover's on bikes.

used it ona transmission and it lasted a few weeks, and that was on the tailshaft of a supercharged 306 powerplant's T

ive heard of a few people doing it. The mechanic at capeway uses JB weld on everything and swears by it!
