so my first day of school starts off bright and early... no prob, i get to work after class and work for a while... then after work i need to go back to school for my second class.... well my steering wheel locks up AGAIN!!!!!!!

so i ended up being really late for my second class, but i finally got it unlocked after fucking around with it...

im livid! so i get home and i do some research... almost all C5 corvettes have been recalled for this problem

so i gotta call the dealer 2morrow and see if my vette has already been through the recall ( i hope not so it can get fixed for free)

if not im screwed and i need to get it fixed because it is still my daily driver

anyone else kno any info on what i can do to fix it, please post up

i really dont wanna see anyone post up its because its a GM or some shit like that.... most of u kno it takes alot to piss me off and im VERY PISSED today

sucks to hear that shit happened to you...hopefully you can have the dealer fix it for free....you might be able to check with a gm site and see if it has been serviced though a web site

i read that one earlier... thats how i found out there was a recall on it.... i just dont kno if its been done b4.... cuz when the recall happened it was feb of 04... between me and my dad we have owned it since june of 04.... so idk if its been fixed b4

im just gonna have to call the dealer and hope and pray it hasnt been fixed b4.... and that they will fix it for free

if not... i am gonna pick up a column bypass for 50 bucks... and that will take care of that hopefully

np...more than likely if ur having that issue it was prob never fixed..good luck tho
