We go to Gleebe Street in Taunton. It's actually private property but the people who own it are really cool and don't mind if people take their trucks/ dirt bikes/ quads back there as long they don't do anything REALLY stupid.

ahh yes my buddy told me about that place.
LS6rally
Nice adam. Ive been to gleebe st. My silverado saw that place a few times. But the moose meet was fun, and kady woulda been jealous. She was btichin her truck was too clean.
Turbo SS
haha. yea I had fun but my truck took a beating.

I lost my gas cap
I ripped off my front license plate
I broke the welds on my cat-delete exhaust pipe
I broke my passenger seat (again)
and I either got water in the tank through the missing gas cap or I sucked it in through the air filter cus it was running like shit when I left.

Well worth it all IMO. I'll have to come to the next meet though. I'm on this site all the time but have barely met anyone.
Hyland33
haha I totally just went on facebook and saw these pics on Laura's page haha
tammlet
looks good all mudded up
Turbo SS
Im going back there tonight if I have enough time to fix the Blazer today.
monytorris
I am jealous. Took the 33"s off my truck this weekend and put the stock tires back on. When are you going again? I love off roading but all my friends sold their trucks.
Turbo SS
Ill go any time theres someone to go with. I just have one issue right now: the water is so high in my favorite spot that my engine has sucked up a bunch of water two weeks in a row. There's a pretty funny story that goes along with this too but I'll save it for later. So I'm in need of a snorkel kit now.

some pics from from this weekend

looks good with the Super Swampers on it

Funny story behind this picture: We were actually wheeling the night before. We had a bon fire and were drinking but no one wanted to try anything crazy because it was dark out... except for me. I took the Blazer through "the river" which is basically a huge ditch about 1,500 feet long that was filled with about 4 feet of water and a shit ton of mud. Everyone was cheering and yellling that i made it through so i turned around and did it the other way, stopping in the middle, taking a drink from my beer and then romping my way out. When I got out the second time peer pressure got the best of me. My buddy who was riding shotgun tells me to try going through it in reverse...so I did. I made it 3/4 of the way through to the point where there is a turn in the ditch and i cut the wheel too much jumping my truck half way out the side and burying my frame on the side of the embankment. Luckily my buddy was able to pull me out with his F250 (turbo diesel, 8+ inches of lift, 38 inch tires, Banks 6 gun) anything less and I'd still be there. Well I guess my truck didn't like all that standing water so we had to come back the next morning after it had dried out and tow it out of the woods before i could get it to run again.
LS6rally
haha wow. glad i didnt go then. sounds like a fun adventure

Nice!! Usually it's me doing the stupid shit with my truck! I am going to look at a 6.2 diesel on saturday. Might swap motors with the guy. If I do then my truck will be out of commission for a few weeks but while doing the motor swap I am going to do the body lift and possibly getting my 38's to fit under it.

You want a 6.2? I would stay away from those.....puke.gif no power at all, and if you try to add more power with say a........turbo you will destroy the motor.
Kady
Yeah.. 6.2 = Fail.
PSquare75
Don't 6.2s get ridiculously good mileage, stock?

Yeah pretty good mileage, but no power. If you try to hammer it...............there goes all the mileage. Besides the fact they were available in 1/2 ton trucks. If you were buying a truck to just drive and use for a commuter a late 80's 6.2 is a good truck.

It is going to be my daily driver and a toy for the woods. I am putting it in a 1992 full size blazer and want to mess around with wvo, so if I screw up the motor it is no big deal. I'm not trying to get loads of power out of the truck, that's what the firebird is for.
DB Duramax
Nice, good luck with it, keep us posted.
monytorris
Thanks I will. I also know that once i drive the truck for a year I'm going to be looking to upgrade, but that's what next summer is for.

82-91 to be a lil more specific.

I pick up my 6.2 on sunday. I was thinking about saving and going with something bigger but this guy wants to swap my 350tbi for his diesel. I get everything i need for the swap and so does he so it works out perfect.
Turbo SS
Nice. Good luck with the swap. The front part of my leveling kit should be here for this weekend. After I install it I'll decide what size rear lift springs to get.

Just get a shackle flip kit and use the stock springs. Aside from the added height, a shackle flip kit will also flatten out the springs and give you a better ride as well as some more flex.
