So i have a windstar intake that is getting installed on my mustang. Most people tht do this remove the egr, due to location issues, and the pcv. My question is, is this a bad idea? Will i b able to pass inspection? Check engine light?

As a side note, i have heard of carbon build up on the engine side of the throttle body due to the pcv. So delting the pcv would make the engine breathe cleaner i would think.

Oil catch can inline on the pcv will clean that up. As for the EGR I'm pretty sure that will give you emissions problems.

The EGR delete will probably throw a code. If you get rid od the PCV you'll need a breather.

I'd keep the PCV IMO. Even on my Cougar, I fabbed up a setup.

I would keep the PCV setup. The engine needs a way to breathe and vent and just adding a breather is not the proper way to do it. This is only my opinion though. I bypassed the PCV on my camaro at one point and I just wasnt happy with the results so I went back to the way it was designed to be run.
Bad Max
no pcv/breather system = excessive crankcase pressure = oil leaks, and the egr will set codes unless custom programmed to turn the codes off, but egr systems put a lot of carbon back into the engine which i don't like and elimnate it on all the diesels

ya i def. wouldn't eliminate the pcv, the egr is cool to delete tho, i did it on my old 99 buick with the 3800, but the deleter was just like the factory egr except that it vented outside the engine with a little tube, so i had no troublecode issues... i don't know if ford computers are like gm, but when i had the one for said buick programmed by intense racing, they said they could eliminate misfire, o2 and egr codes from the system if i so desired....
Hippy
on my 5.0 i kept mine

idk if ur engine has a similar setup but i took the coolent lines to the egr houseing off to make a cooler charge temp
