I had gotten Falken FK452's /275/40/17s for the back a few months ago for the Cobra, I was able to put them to the test for the last few days due to the warmer weather.
I was on 295 around the Lincoln mall area at speeds up over 110 ... they were great..low to no noise or shim(i think i could hear ghosts), In the "on and off ramp test" i pushed it....verry tight with no fade or getting wacky.
Just putting along town they felt good over the small bumps and divets on the road... i didn't feel the need to kill something that day lol !...
I d rate em a 8 out of 10 rekless stars.
Overall good rubber for the cash!
I paid less then $150 a tire, Thinking of some new tires look at these...Falken has stepped up in my book.

Falkens are definitely nice tires, I am not sure of these are the same ones CJ had on her Grand AM, they look very similar based on tread design and those tires not only handled well but also lasted quite awhile

The Falken 452 s came out The later of 08..they go head to head with the Nitto 555(Not as much hype), the company says they are 1 1/2 times better then the Older Falken 451 on traction/wear/fade so on and so on.....
I know people are allways looking for a better tire.. Many shitty tires for big money out on the market ...Hope this helps some people !

If just buying something to cruise for a daily driver, the cheap Falkens or Kumhos are fine and get the job done. They really don't have as good of grip as some other street compound tires though. The grippier ones won't last as many miles however.

I wouldn't say Falken (452) fall in the cheap tire area....I ve seen Reviews that have said they are as good as Dunlop Direzzas and even better then the Michelin Pilot precedas ...and those aint that cheap tires.

We used to sell them when I worked at Sears. Don't expect many miles out of them. They seem to wear out quickly.

8000- 14000 miles i ve seen on some sites..but then again its a summer U/HP tire

If they had more grip than the Direzzas (assuming your talking about the star spec version), they'd have used them in the nationals. 452 would make a perfect summer tire and tread looks good for bad rain. If you want the max out of a street comp tire (140+ treadwear) the best tires you can use will be Falken RT-615, Bridgestone RE-11, Yokohama Neovas, Dunlop Direzza star specs, Kumho MX's, Toyo R1Rs, etc. There's a few others, but a 300 treadwear tire gives you moderate grip at most. Still plenty sufficient for the street. The 452 is pretty cheap compared to the other tires available on tirerack.

Taking an exit or onramp isn't really that good of a way to test a tire either. Most people who think that haven't been to a track where you really realize how much faster you can really go with the car and how dangerous it would actually be to drive it that fast on an onramp.
