Probably had a leaky or a el cheapo exhaust on it. With no mufflers they sound like absolute crap.

Neil, have you ever considered purchasing an SHO again? I know the first one you owned wasn't the most reliable vehicle, but I'm sure there are quite a few out there that were decently taken care of. Plus, I know you have quite the enthusiasm (and knowledge) about the vehicle, and I think it fits you perfectly.
P.S: I think they are awesome.

I won't lie I have. I just don't know if I could. I might get bored with it quickly. And if I do it won't be a daily, tried that once and yea fuck that lol. Those motors do like boost.

Ive owned 3 of them...and had probably the most problems with all 3 combined...
That being said Id still buy another one. Id like to get a first gen although there arent too many clean ones around anymore. Ive had my share of 2nd gens(2 92's) and I had one turd gen which for what it was...was a decent car after I welded the cams(even though the tranny would slip after 5k rpm and just smack the rev limiter)

On the 95 I had. I damn near rebuilt the whole thing minus the tranny(gay weak slush box) and the water pump that went. All within 6months. Oh and this was before I found out how much fun it is to work on my own car. And that's why I'm a broke motherfucker now.
