I have a 94 full size blazer that I think needs a trans computer. I may be able to pick up a computer from a 94 surburban for $35. Is there any details I need to know about this or will the computer work in my blazer? Im pretty sure the blazer has the 4L60E or the 4L80E. not sure.

as long as the 'burban is a 4x4 with the same tranny as the blazer it will work... if the tranny pan has 16 bolts, it's a 4l60e.... if it has 17 bolts, it's a 4l80e.... 94 down to 90? i think will work, 95 and up will not... 95 is a standalone year, and 96-99 is the same.... btw, the computer almost never fails tho, it can but its a rare occurence.... what is the issue with it? if it is having electrical issues check all the wiring twice... a lot of times wires will break right off the main harness connector at the transmission or close to it, and if you lose one of the ground straps, it can shift funny, not shift at all, etc...

We had a 94 that acted like the trans was slipping and shifting funny, we swapped out the computerand it was fine again.

I found one for $35 Ijust have to hope it works. This guy is parting a 94 Burb. I may take a few other things off him. My 4x4 dont work either. The guy I bought it from said there was an actuator/soleniods thingy in the front diff that was bad. Not too sure on that and I havent even looked into it. The 4x4 selector works but it just dont engage. Those 2 problems are the only two big ones right now.

That solenoid is an easy fix too. Hopefully it works for you bud.

I will find out this weekend hopefully if this guy has all the shit I need to get the truck running again. Shit, that reminds me, I need a battery too.

Id like to get the truck running as a nice daily driver and maybe put my speed density TPI setup on it one day
