So I was on Rt. 37 trying to get over one lane to get onto the next off ramp and the guy next to me is pacing me, i sped up a little and so did he so i did the next thing that came to mind and floored it. Not the best idea, snapped my driveshaft right in the middle. Good thing I have a spare one at home!

You should have taken a pic of said Civic and we could have "recruited" them one day

HAHA! It's ok, Rhode Island is very small and I don't forget anything. Someday I'll be on the side of them and show them what torque is!

Snapped mine at the track last year, then my friend snapped his right after me! Mine was on the starting line....his was at the big end going 100mph+....he got holes in his floorpan and a bent exhaust system.

I know you said you have an extra driveshaft, but I just took a stock aluminum one out of a '98 Z28 if you want it!

$125 sound good? Has 75k on it, and is perfect except for a couple of scratches where it hit the exhaust system a few times from the hack that installed the catback. It comes with a 30spline Yoke on it to fit the viper output shaft that we installed in this customer's car, but you can swap it for the stock yoke.

I'm going to keep the steel one for now and do some research, seems like a lot of people snap the aluminum ones.

I work right off of airport road and live on sandy lane but I'm always on 37. There is a white ws6 that works on the next street over from my work and we have the same hours so we are always racing up and down airport road.
