Hey, my 2008 Mustang GT Premium with approx 20,200 miles on it...
It's starting to squeak when i hit bumps.
The sound seems to be comming from the passanger side Rear..
It has been to the dealer numerous times for this issue, and they cant find anything wrong with it... Ive even had it to the dealer for faulty lower control arms and stabalizer linkage..
Like i said above, it only happens over bumps.. but it only happens when it wants to about 10-20% of time..
Any ideas?

QUOTE (Rod @ Apr 28 2009, 09:24 PM)

does it squeak at any temp or just in the morning or when it's colder out? i only ask b/c i asked someone about a squeak and they told me that the fluid in some shocks, when they sit overnight, can have the texture of butter. as you drive around the shocks squeak and as it gets used, the fluid warms up eliminating the sound

just repeating what i was told... not sure if this is applicable
actually it happens more when its warmer out, not so much when its cold.. and begins to happen more and more often as i drive, doesnt go away at all lol

take a peek under there. im pretty sure brandons panhard bar broke in half on his stang. possible yours could be bending or something and making the bushings squeak

im so awesome i was able to snap my panhard bad clean in half. i would say check your upper strut mounts too
is the car lowered, any mods to the suspension?

I would get a can of penetrating oil and then systematically go through everything that moves in the rear suspension, spraying each peice and then driving the car to see if it makes any difference.
You might just find the issue although it may take you quite a while

at the moment my car is completely stock besides the exhaust, no mods to the suspension

You are aware that it's a Mustang right? They all squeak haha. My 98 rattled like a paint can on any road that wasn't perfectly smooth. I doubt the S197 is much smoother than the SN95.

the car rides really nice and smooth... there are no clunks or rattles... just that one annoying squeak. lol
