Rear main seal is very common on them. Oil pressure will go down as the mileage gets packed on, definitely listen to her at idle, when they have some miles packed on and oil pressure starts dropping you can usually hear the bottom end especially if the main bearings are going bad. If they don't get the oil changed at proper intervals and get beat on the main bearings are also known to go....I have had 2 Stangs that had happened to. Lifters tend to get noisy as well as miles get packed on, most are especially noisy when the car is cold.

Other than those issues, mostly stock stangs are relatively bullet proof.

-3 the 302 is hard to kill if its stock then they usually hold together fine but the best trick for stang buyin is look for rubber in the rear wheel wells and bumper which could show unnesisary beatin
ollie
how about an 02 supercharged gt?? smile.gif
gina
