Here's a great list of what to bring and what to be equipped with depending on the type of difficulty of your trip.

This is what OSJ says you should have lol

MUST HAVES: These are items that you ARE required to have to go on a trail.

* All Jeeps not having a steel roof must have at least a factory roll cage
* All Jeeps must have working seat belts for all occupants
* A Jack Capable of lifting your Jeep (Hi-Lift Recommended)
* A spare tire within 10% of your rigs tire size and securely attached to your Jeep
* Front & Rear tow points (a hitch Ball is not a secure tow point for vehicle recovery)
* Tow Strap (with NO metal hooks)
* Properly secured Battery (Bungee cords & ratchet straps are unacceptable)
* A fire extinguisher (rated for A, B, and C class fires)
* A Tire Pressure Gage (0-50 psi) Makes it easier when airing down
* A CB Radio (mounted or Hand Held)
* A First Aid Kit
* All Jeeps must be registered and insured.

Recommended Items: These are items NOT required but may make life easier.

* Tool Kit
* Spare Parts (hubs, ignition Axles, assorted hardware)
* Trash bags (pack out more than what you pack in)
* Shovel
* Axe or Saw
* Air pump or Compressor (you'll need to refill you tires at the end of the trail)
* Tire Plug Kit
* Extra Fluids (oil, gas, water, etc..)
* Winch

extra ciggerattes every time i go out esp if i get stuck im out of ciggs
