so my car started runnin crappy yesterday and engine light was a flashin.
found out its cylinder 2 misfire and some other codes i can't remember right now but i think they all stem from this...
anyways im hoping its just a bad plug and it didnt damage the wire. sad part is i can't even afford to buy anything till friday to fix it

anyways, should a cylinder 2 misfire just be a bad plug? or could it be something else? FYI when i did the plugs and wires a couple months ago i put the wires on wrong and started it like that b4 i realize i fucked up. could that finally be catching up to me?

Most cars car run while misfiring on one cylinder. It will run rich though and prob foul the plug, if the plug isnt the issue already it deff will be and you'll have to replace it. You also may clog up an o2 because of all the unburnt gas passing throug the exhaust, backfires are common and gas mileage takes a serious hit. All of which are not really big issues.
Long term you could wash down the cylinder and kill the rings creating low compression in that cylinder
I wouldent get crazy about it, but I'de adress it quickly because it may take you a while before you figure out exactly what it is.
Take care of the basics first. Check the plug/wire. If the plug is completly black, its fouled replace it immediatly. Theres no reason anyone cant spend 4$ for a plug

Yeah definitely check the plugs....if they are fouled and its still misfiring, it could be a bad wire, I know you said that you just replaced the wires but stranger things have been known to happen even with expensive wires.
I know it's a stupid question but have you checked just to make sure one of the wires didn't accidentally pop loose? Either on the coil or on the plug.

well i checked the plug and it didnt look fouled, swapped it with cylinder 1's plug and drove it to advance auto parts to get codes checked again(note to self, dont go to that location again cuz of fat douche bag),still showing cylinder 2 misfire.
Talked to my buddy's mechanic and he said to check the coil pack by pulling of the plug wire for that cylinder, at the coil pack end, and laying it next to it and start the car to check to see if its sparking and alas there is no spark, tried it with another wire just to see if this test worked and there was a spark. so it seems i have a bad coil pack

I was gonna say sheck the coil pack as well. my jeep is doing the the same thing. My wife will start it up in the morning and it will shake like a bastard and the SES light will blink. She has to shut it off and try it again and after about the 5th time it will run right. The light stays on though. Once you try something, disconnect the battery to erase the codes and then see if they come back. Im not sure if my jeep has a bad coil or just a bad plug. One day I will fix it

To be sure its the coil pack it would be best to move the coil to another cylinder and see if the issue moves with it. cause it might be a wiring issue to the coil.
Or just take a coil pack from another cylinder plug it into the bad cylinder and then do the spark test again. If you get a spark on cylinder 2 with a different coil pack then you know for sure the coil pack is whats causing the issue

well its not a coil on plug thing its a coil pack similar to this....

unless im misunderstanding what your saying

If I understand you corectly, you have 1 coilpack per cylinder. Can you unplug 2 of them and swap them and see if the misfire occurs on a different cylinder? I know this was just mentioned but..
edit... so you have 1 coilpack and all 6 wires plug into this one pack right? Can you swap wires and see what happens

right
well if i understand the test that i did earlier i dont think it would matter what wire was where as there was no spark coming out of the coil pack at tower #2 but there was a spark out of tower #3
