sounds like a virus either try to restore it back by going start, all programs, accesories, systemtools, system restore or just put in the windows disk and start over from scratch

i dont want that responsibility, just tryin to help you.
if you have a virus you should be able to delete it with norton. I dont know how it works but with avast and AVG its very easy to delete and fix the virus.
crapcleaner, and malewarebytes are also good programs.

I also run Norton and I may end up ditching it for ome of these other programs you guys suggested to her. Do these programs offer spyware and all that other good crap? Do they offer live updates? My Norton has worked fine for me and it is deleting viruses as I type. I picked up about 30 or so trogans last week.
I just dnt want to download a new antivirus program and then uninstall Norton only to not like the new program.
Oh and Ashley, if i was you, I would try to start saving as much as you can now if you plan on dumping your computer and starting over

Avg and avast are much better than norton, your pc probably needs a good cleaning. If you are local I can do it at work when I have some free time just make sure you back up everything that is important to you and delete anything embarrassing first. You wouldn't believe the things we have seen on customers computers. Girls seem to be worse than guys!

I won't add to the crap load of advise already listed, but I will offer to look at it if you'd like. I would agree that you do not need norton, but I wouldn't say you should get rid of it. Norton will work fine on the right machine. If your computer has the minimum recommended hardware (like most), then yes it would run better on one of the free AVs mentioned. Also, Avast owns AVG in my opinion. I'd had Avast in most of my machines over the last 5 years or so. I love it. I'm using AVG on the laptop i'm using right now. I don't like it as much. With that said, PM me if you like more help and/or advise.
